Mods vs Rockers Ride.

I feel that recently my days have blended from one to the next and I'm becoming bored with the sameness of my daily routine. It seems that the only remedy is to have myself a little adventure. With summer in Arizona quickly approaching, it makes sense it beat a hasty retreat.
Each year, just under 2000 miles from Phoenix, a gathering of vintage motorcycle and scooter enthusiasts come together for an event at a favorite Chicago watering hole... Delilah's. It's "Mods vs Rockers" time again, and I can't think of a better place to spend the weekend. What's even better is the chance to get out on the motorbike for this little cross country adventure. Flagstaff, Moab, Golden, North Platte, Davenport and finally Chicago.
I've been through a lot on my old r90s and I'm hoping to put another notch on the seat for this trip. I'm guessing my body will give out before her.
Anyway, I can't wait to share some photos from the journey.

Aunt Dode.

My mother sent me this photograph of her Aunt Dode on her motorcycle, I couldn't help but post it here. I love coming across photographs like this, having it come from my own family makes it that much better.

the Garage

It seems that lately the motorcycle has been spending more time in the garage than it has on the road. First it was wiped out in a "hit and run" accident. After months of rebuilding and heeling on my part, it was ready to roll. It only took a few short weeks to have someone reverse over it in a parking spot. Some have told me that the bike carries a curse and that I should part ways with her, but after twelve years I'm a bit attached. So as she sits awaiting the parts and attention she so badly deserves, I've been making some pictures in the garage.
